Belington Public Library

On September 26, Belington Public Library participated in Tucker Community Foundation's 2009 "Run For It". The Run For It takes place in Davis, WV and consists of a 5K run or a 2K walk. Shown above are the Belington Public
Library team members including Dan and Kathy Aerni, Joel, Katie and Oscar Wolpert, Kate Harward, Nan and Jeff Williams, Barry Row, Shelby Osborne, Wilma Griffith, Judy Haller, Barbara Lyle and Tammy Smith. Most of the team participated in the 2K walk but some were brave and "Ran For It". Katie Wolpert won the Fastest 5K Adult Female bringing a $1,425 prize to the library. Other money raised in the community brought our total for the
fundraiser to $3,107.50 This was a much needed fundraising event as the library needs to match its annual Grant In Aid from the state. We wish to thank all our community supporters and especially the 14 team members who braved the cold rain and ran or walked for the money!
